Fireworks Bournemouth is hoping to attempt a world record 110,000 fireworks in less than 60 seconds onThursday 20 August at 9.30pm. This is to open the Bournemouth Air Show. Great view from Boscombe beach!

Recycle your batteries by binning them! Special collection bins have been installed at the Littledown Centre, Stokewood Road Leisure Centre, all libraries and the Council?s Southcote Road Depot as part of the Council's Go Green Campaign. Any battery of between 1.5 and nine volts can be dropped into the containers where they will be collected free of charge by contractor BatteryBack and taken for recycling rather than ending up in landfill.

Appointments can either be pre-booked by phone (01202 727969) for registered patients; or urgent walk-in appointments are available throughout the opening times by coming to the health centre.
